• During my children's time at Blakewood Elementary I volunteered through the PTO in a variety of ways, including holding positions of Vice President and President.

• As a contributor to the PTO organization I helped facilitate the book fair for 10 years to provide materials to the library. When the playground needed new equipment, I organized a Color Run to raise funds and continued to lead the event annually for 3 more years.

• I also served as a Cub Scout leader for 2 years during which time I planned meetings focused on earning badges and also helped to organize larger Den events. 

​​

• As a Middle School Parent Advisory Council member I advocated for soliciting student and parental feedback by helping to formulate a survey. Once the responses were in I worked with the rest of the council to analyze the responses and implement changes.
